  3. Discuss emerging trends in digital health solutions for pediatrics, examining their potential benefits and drawbacks in enhancing the delivery of pediatric care.
  4. Present the impact of social and environmental factors on pediatric health and develop a comprehensive understanding of the challenges they pose.
  5. Develop a culture of collaboration among pediatric specialties to address complex pediatric health challenges systematically and efficiently.

The Annual Business Meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at 2:00-4:00pm.

You may access the Business Meeting though the PPS Portal, similar to the convention plenaries.

The Business Meeting will begin promptly at 2:00pm. Please log-in early for the attendance check.

What is the format of the 62nd Annual Convention?

The 62nd Annual Convention may be experienced in different ways.  Plenaries will be available Face-to-Face at the Theatre at Solaire, and available via livestream for registrants physically present at the Conrad Manila and through the PPS Portal.

Can I attend the Luncheon Symposia? YES.  The luncheon symposia are open to ALL registered delegates on a first come, first served basis. This will be held at the Conrad.
Do I need to claim my kit and ID? No, but if you want to go to the exhibits and attend the luncheons, you will need your Convention ID Yes Yes
Kits and IDs are available at Conrad from April 6-9, 2025, and the Theatre at Solaire from April 7-9, 2025. Please see guidelines for the time schedule. You may also have an authorized representative claim your kit (please see guidelines of registration committee for details. )
Can I change my venue preference? No No No
Are there shuttles in between venues? There are shuttle services available to-and-from the sites. A shuttle schedule will be made available soon.

 

PRE-CONVENTION WORKSHOPS

Four (4) representatives shall be provided by the Chairman of every HAB-accredited hospital to attend each of the four (4) pre-convention workshops.

The Chairman of the Department can internally assign the topics to the 4 institutional representatives of their hospital then submit to the Pre-Convention Registration Form.

62nd AC Pre-Convention Registration – Philippine Pediatric Society, Inc.

The Chairman shall be responsible for forwarding to each respective institutional representative all pre-convention workshop reading materials or case assignments which must be completed per topic prior to the pre-convention workshop date.

Pre-Convention Workshop Fee: Php 1,500/session so a total of Php 6,000/ institution for the 4 sessions.

Payment for the Pre-Convention Workshop is through the PPS Office or Payment Portal (https://paymongo.page/l/62nd-precon).

There are limited slots (30 per symposium) available on a FIRST COME FIRST SERVE basis for interested PPS members who are NOT representatives of HAB accredited hospitals.

Symposium 5 Newborn Hearing Screening Certifying Course of the DOH – NIH.
This is by invitation ONLY. Each PPS accredited hospital must sent 1 representative who is a member of PPS ( Diplomate, Fellow, Emeritus Fellow) and an active staff of the Department of Pediatrics.

What if we cannot produce 4 institutional representatives for the Pre-Convention Workshop?

In as much as we encourage each HAB accredited institution to complete all 4 slots to maximize learning from the 4 sessions, we fully understand our current limitations.

Best effort is still to be complete 4 institutional representatives if possible.

Can one (1) institutional representative represent two (2) institutions of affiliation?

In as much as we encourage each HAB accredited institution to complete all 4 slots to maximize learning from the 4 sessions, we fully understand our current limitations.

Hence, we will accept situations where 1 pediatrician represents 2 institutions as long as both institutions represented pay the pre-convention workshop fee SEPARATELY, so separate Certificates of Attendance can be issued.

Best effort is still to be complete 4 institutional representatives if possible.

COMMERCIAL EXHIBITS

Can I visit the exhibits at Conrad and Okada?

YES. You may visit the booth exhibits at Okada or Conrad whether you are F2F or live streaming. If you opted to attend via PPS Portal, you may visit the commercial booths at your most convenient time from 8:00AM to 5:00 PM; Please make sure you have registered and claimed your Convention ID kit at the designated registration counters for the day.

BUSINESS MEETING

I am a PPS member. How may I attend the Business Meeting?

All PPS Members (Diplomates, Fellows, and Emeritus Fellows) may attend the Business Meeting either Face to face at the Conrad or via the PPS Portal.
BOT members, Chapter Presidents/ Representatives will attend onsite at Conrad
The business meeting may be accessed by all eligible members regardless of initial choice of livestream or face to face.

ELIGIBILITY: PPS members who registered for the convention.

I am NOT a PPS member. Can I attend the Business Meeting?

No, you may not.  The Business Meeting is for Diplomates, Fellows, and Emeritus Fellows of the Society only.

SIMULTANEOUS SYMPOSIA

How do I watch the Simultaneous Sessions?

Simultaneous Sessions scheduled for the afternoons are to be released as Video on Demand (VOD) at a later date. Please watch for the advisory.

OFFICIAL RECEIPT:

Proof of payment is required.

Those who need official receipts / Sales Invoice, the secretariat is located at the Board Room beside China Blue at Conrad No secretariat at Solaire as there is no space available.

Emeritus Fellow, Past National Presidents, Incumbent members of the Board of Trustees, Incumbent and Past Chapter Presidents, Incumbent Presidents of PPS Subspecialty Societies and PPS Section Heads
They will be registered automatically.

Fellows in good standing (65 years old and above, non-Emeritus Fellow)

(Resident/Fellows in training/gov’t physician or allied professional):

Attach PRC and Certificate of training from training officer and/or Chair.

Wait for the notification in 1-3 working days before proceeding to pay the corresponding fee.

      • Registration and payment must be made online thru the PPS Portal.

CONFIRMATION EMAIL

      • No confirmation email will be sent.
      • Verify your registration status thru the portal
